Chapter 17

Teyana had been feeling some type of way since Gambino hung up in her face the day before. She tried calling him back but he didn’t answer, andshe really didn’t understand why he was so angry when he knew she was engaged when he first met her. Better yet he had a bitch at home so whether she loved her fiancé or not should’ve been irrelevant. She was in deep thought when the sound of her phone startled her. It was Sevyn.

“Hey, sis. What’s up?” Teyana answer right away.

“Hey, boo. What you over there doing?” asked Sevyn. She was calling to see if Teyana wanted to go out with them. Only thing wrong was Jazz was coming along and she didn’t know how Teyana would feel about that.

“Stressing over your damn cousin-in-law. How the fuck is he going to get mad at me when he didn’t even let me answer his fucking question?! Even if I do still love my fiancé he has no right to be mad about that.” Teyana sound as if she was on the verge of crying. Sevyn just wished they would kick both their losers to the curb and be happy with each other.

“He’s mad because he’s in love with you, girl, just like your ass is in love with him,” Sevyn responded. Teyana rolled her eyes upwards. She hated to admit it but she was definitely in love with Gambino. Maybe it was wrong but the shit just felt so right.

“Whatever, Sevyn. What you doing?” Teyana changed the subject.

“I was actually calling to see if you wanted to go out with us tonight. You can even bring that fiancé of yours if you want to.” Teyana found it strange that Sevyn would suggest Tyriq to come being that neither she nor Zywon liked him.

“I can bring Tyriq? Hmm… What’s the catch?” Teyana asked surprisedly.

“Well,” Sevyn sang into the phone. She actually felt funny having to tell Teyana that Gambino had come down with his girl, but she didn’t want her to be caught blindside.

“I have some good news and bad news.” Sevyn went on to say.

“Girl, stop beating around the bush and tell me already,” Teyana yelled. She was tired of playing the guessing game with her.

“Well, Gambino is in town, but before you get all excited, Jazz is with him. That’s the bad news.”

To say Teyana was crushed would’ve been an understatement. Here she was wondering what right did Gambino have to be mad if she was still in love with her fiancé but she was beyond hurt and angry that he’d brought his girlfriend with him to visit. Teyana was unaware that he was even coming to visit. She was getting ready to respond just as Tyriq walked through the door. Good he did because she didn’t have anything nice to say about the situation.

“Sure, what time should we get there, and what club?” Teyana asked. After getting the information she only had two hours to get ready. She was beyond ecstatic when Tyriq agreed to go with her because she hated to leave him.
